The City of Providence is seeking vendors for the state's largest Independence Day Celebration. Deadline is June 22.

Call For Artists - Seattle
The Seattle Office of Arts & Cultural Affairs seeks an artist or artist team to develop site-integrated artwork for Seattle Public Utilities' (SPU) Lower Mapes Creek Restoration Project in Seattle's Rainier Beach neighborhood. The artist will be encouraged to include a variety of media in the artwork and to incorporate themes related to the restored functions of Mapes Creek. Deadline May 18.

Call For Artists - Austin, TX
The City of Austin Art in Public Places (AIPP) program seeks to commission an experienced public artist to participate as part of the design team for the Consolidated Rental Car Facility (CONRAC) Art in Public Places project at the Austin-Bergstrom International Airport. The selected artist will collaborate with the design team to create integrated artwork for the new facility and add an artistic perspective to the overall design. Deadline May 21.

Call For Artists - Public Art (Champaign-Urbana, IL)
The Public Art League (PAL) in Champaign-Urbana, Illinois is seeking artists to participate in a Sculpture Exhibition. Selected sculptures will be installed in the community metro area and will serve as major visual anchor points, community identity and a statement that creativity and art are of vital importance to our existence in Central Illinois. Deadline June 8.

Call For Artists - The Nave Gallery (Somerville, MA)
The bump in the dark of night, the shadow lurking in the corner of your eye, those things that haunt us even if we've buried it four times over, The BIG BAD aspires to show that the real-world adversaries threatening our ruin are close companions to the phantoms locked in our imaginations. Visual artists working in all 2-D and 3-D media (including video and installation) are invited to submit work. Deadline August 25.

Call For Singers - The Alliance Française Chorus
Something's missing from your life…singing! The Alliance Française Chorus - La Chorale de L'Alliance Française - is a group of 20-30 people who have been singing together since 2006. What holds them together is the desire to sing French songs. If you'd like to sing French songs with the group, can carry a tune well, and perhaps have a little musical training, then this chorus is the place for you. NEA Art Works Grant
To support the creation of art that meets the highest standards of excellence, public engagement with diverse and excellent art, lifelong learning in the arts, and the strengthening of communities through the arts. Within this category, all Arts Education projects will have lifelong learning in the arts as their primary outcome. Innovative projects are strongly encouraged. An organization may request a grant amount from $10,000 to $100,000.

Pollock-Krasner Foundation Grant
The Foundation welcomes, throughout the year, applications from visual artists who are painters, sculptors and artists who work on paper, including printmakers. There are no deadlines. The Foundation encourages applications from artists who have genuine financial needs that are not necessarily catastrophic. Grants are intended for a one-year period of time.

Call For Applicants - NEA's Art Works
The National Endowment for the Arts' Art Works grants support the creation of art that meets the highest standards of excellence, public engagement with diverse and excellent art, lifelong learning in the arts, and the strengthening of communities through the arts. Grants range from $10,000 to $100,000.

NEH Grants
The application period is open for several grant opportunities from the National Endowment for the Humanities (NEH). Applicants should refer directly to the NEH website to verify all details, including deadlines and available grants.

Public Humanities Clinic
The Public Humanities Clinic at the John Nicholas Brown Center for Public Humanities and Cultural Heritage at Brown University offers free assistance to cultural organizations and individuals working to present humanities projects and programs to the public. The aim of the Public Humanities Clinic is to foster excellence in humanities-based programs, exhibits and community initiatives by providing advice and facilitating connections between people, including colleagues, public humanities students and scholars.

Call For Teachers - Big Yellow School Bus Grant Program
The Rhode Island State Council on the Arts has approved the continuation of its popular "Big Yellow School Bus" program for the 2011-2012 school year, subject to the availability of funds. This program provides grants of up to $400 per school building per year to Rhode Island schools to support the cost of school buses and coverage for classroom teachers so that students can attend cultural arts events during the school day.
