SENATOR CLAIBORNE PELL ANNUAL LECTURE ON ARTS & HUMANITIES

Initiated in 2009, the annual lecture honors the late Claiborne Pell. Senator Pell is best remembered for being a champion of education, the arts and the humanities.

WINTER CONCERT SERIES

An initiative designed to bring live performances directly to residents at the senior centers and high rises throughout Providence.

GALLERY AT CITY HALL

The Gallery at City Hall exhibits an eclectic array of work that highlights the artistic and cultural diversity found in the Providence community.



FILMING IN PROVIDENCE?

A "one stop shop" for city service by putting film and television production companies that plan on shooting in Providence in touch with the appropriate city departments.


CULTURAL PLAN

The ten-year cultural plan is a community-wide guide to public policies, private initiatives, and investments. The cultural plan outlines six interdependent, city-wide challenges and opportunities for collaboration that serve to cultivate a more sustainable creative sector.



CONNECTING CREATIVE COMMUNITIES

In March 2010, AC+T and New England Foundation for the Arts brought leaders from across New England together to share strategies for engaging the creative sector and to begin to develop a regional network of creative communities.


ARTS & ECOMONIC PROSPERITY III

This 2007 study by the Americans for the Arts discovered the economic impact of Providence's nonprofit arts and cultural organizations and their audiences was above the median of similar study regions and the national averages. The city will participate in an updated study during 2011/12.
