Just wanted to give a big thank you to the local fire crews in Fox Point (and other units) for such a quick response to this morning’s fire in Fox Point. I live in the neighborhood and witnessed such bravery and care in your response. You all are heroes and your hard work on a daily basis is greatly appreciated. Thank you.
Compliment/Complaint: Just wanted to say a big thank you to the fire depratment for coming by our home this morning to check our CO levels after our alarm went off several times. They arrived within about 10 minutes of the call and were incredibly polite and helpful. My husband and I sincerely appreciated the responsiveness and the peace of mind they provided by coming out to our home. Thanks again!
Compliment/Comment: Dear Commissioner Paré,
We believe it is proper and relevant to inform you of our gratitude; which we extend to the Messer St. Engine 8 Tower Ladder 2 Battalion 2, the Providence Fire Department Canteen Truck volunteers and the Providence Police District 4 Officers. On Saturday, July 13, 2011, we held our 2nd Hope for the City community outreach event. Without the assistance of the Providence Fire and Police Departments, we would not have been able to serve over 500 hot dogs and beverages, or to provide a safe environment for the families and children in attendance, nor have our evening concert at Mansion Park. These members of your department were cordial, supportive and kind to our collaborative of churches and the residents of the West End neighborhood. This great resource proved to be a caring entity to a community that is often over looked. Thus, we would like say, “Thank you!” for making this day a huge success!
