Butterflies in the Park

Butterflies fluttering amidst sun-drenched meadows are a sure sign of summer. Hunt for butterflies in the sweeping lawns and hidden spaces in Roger Williams Park. Our Museum naturalist will help you discover how to find and identify these flying jewels.

Roger Williams Park is a 430 acre oasis in the heart of one the most densely populated areas of Rhode Island. The woodlands and large ponds provide an ideal place for birds to rest and feed on their migration northwards. Join our Museum naturalist as we search for the many migrants and summer residents that can be found in the park. Wear sturdy shoes and bring binoculars.
