The Flavor Lab is a recent addition to the RWP Botanical Center. It was created to represent Providence’s magnificent food scene. There are four plots found in the Lab. Plot 1 displays flavors grown for a fine food experience from award-winning Chef, Ben Sukle, owner of birch , and Oberlin. Plot 2 is a collaboration with the Met School. This plot focuses on flavors that create a better-tasting salad that even the pickiest teen will love. Plot 3 is in partnership with URI Master Gardeners and focuses on the flavors of nourishment for Ministry Soup Kitchen in Providence. The last plot focuses on the flavors of a craft cocktail. The Open Studio is where workshops and other educational collaborations take place.
