1:00pm and 3:00pm: Museum Vault Tours
Cost: $5 per person (includes museum admission)/Does not include planetarium admission. Children must be age 4 and older to enter the vaults.
Come join us for a tour of the Museum’s underworld – the basement vaults. If you are tantalized by what you have seen on exhibit, come visit the 99% you have not seen. See bats, mini-beasts, vultures, spiders and more… many have never been on public view! Do not miss this rare chance to explore the collections in storage in this behind-the-scenes, underground tour! (Vaults are only accessible by stairs.)
2:00pm: NEW! Max Goes to the Moon Fulldome Planetarium Show
Cost: Free admission for costumed visitors or $3 per person (includes museum admission). Children must be age 4 and older to enter the planetarium. (Family audience)
Ever wonder what it’s like to go to the Moon? This new show, based on the children’s book, “Max Goes to the Moon” by Dr. Jeffrey Bennett, takes us on such an adventure. Please note: This fulldome planetarium show DOES NOT include a brief tour of the night sky, using the planetarium’s Zeiss star projector.
