Sunday 1899
August 7, 2022
Save-the-date to go back in time to Sunday 1899! We’re hosting a day in 1899 with food, music, tours, and photography all designed to take you back to the late 1800s, when North Burial Ground was the place to be on summer Sunday afternoon. We are still putting the event together, but we want you to save the date, and start planning your outfit. Historical dress is enthusiastically encouraged, but not required!
Sunday 1899 will be a ticketed event with the proceeds set aside for the restoration of the Marble Steps. Ticket prices will be announced closer to the event date.
Our first confirmed vendor is Cole Casewell of AgNO3 Lab. Casewell hosts tintype photo pop-ups! Tintype photography was a popular photography method invented in the 1850s and used into the early 20th century. AgNO3 lab’s tintype work combines this technique with with contemporary settings for a really special experience. Tintype sittings will be scheduled when you book your ticket for an added fee, depending on the size of your photo!
We’ll keep updating this page as the event gets closer!
