PVD Rescue Plan
Over the next three years, Providence will receive $166 million dollars from the U.S. Treasury to make a once-in-a-generation, transformative investment in our City’s future. Rescue Plan funds can be used to respond to the COVID-19 public health emergency or its negative economic impacts. Learn how you can engage in the City's Rescue Plan here.
African American Ambassador Group PVD
Mayor Elorza began meeting regularly with the African American Ambassador Group in May 14 2020 to discuss the disproportionate number of African Americans impacted by COVID-19. The group has since evolved to meet weekly and discuss and advance a social justice agenda for the City of Providence. Learn more or engage with the group here!
PVD Safe Stations
Available 24 hours a day, seven days a week, you can visit any of Providence’s 12 fire stations, speak with the trained staff on duty, and immediately get connected to treatment support and services. Providence Safe Stations is free and provides a welcoming environment for when you’re ready for recovery.
All In PVD
In Providence, we know that every dollar invested in our schools and our students is a direct investment in the future of our city. That is why, when presented with the opportunity to craft Mayor Elorza’s first School Capital Plan submission, we asked the Providence Public School District (PPSD) community first.
Eat Play Learn
EAT PLAY LEARN PVD is a nationally recognized initiative that provides our kids and families with access to healthy food, outdoor play, skill-building, and creative engagement all summer long!
PVD Young Makers
The City of Providence is teaming up with Providence Public Library, the Providence Community Libraries, FabNewport, the Rhode Island Museum of Science and Industry, and Young Voices to bring makerspaces into 10 libraries in our neighborhoods.
A campaign to redefine how people experience our world-class creative community, unique neighborhoods, rich cultural life, and all our local economy has to offer.
