Paying Tickets

By using a ticket number or notice number, you can pay some or all of your outstanding tickets. When searching for tickets to pay, please note tickets issued by a Parking Enforcement Officer are uploaded to our online system nightly. Tickets issued by police officers may take longer to be added.Please note that parking and environmental violation amounts double after fourteen (14) days and triple after twenty-eight (28) days.


Make an Online Payment

Acceptable forms of payment to pay online are MasterCard or Visa. Click here to be redirected to the city’s online ticket payment system. Follow the directions to enter your ticket number and credit card information. Please note that you will be charged a $3.50 convenience fee per transaction. Online payments may take time to post. Therefore, if you have 3 or more tickets, it may take up to 24 hours for your name to be removed from the boot list.

Online payments are provided by Providence Pay-By-Web, a safe and secure service of the City of Providence’s Municipal Court.


By Mail

Send a check (or money order) payable to the Providence Municipal Court. Write the ticket number on your payment, and include the actual ticket whenever possible. If you no longer have your ticket, write the vehicle’s state and license plate number on your check or money order.

By Phone

Call (866) 263-0475 to pay for your ticket by phone using a credit card. Please have your ticket information available when you call.


In Person

You may pay at the cashier window at Providence Municipal Court in the Public Safety Complex between 7:30am – 3pm and summer hours are July + August 7:30am – 2:30pm.

For your added convenience, payments may be left in our secure lockbox located in the outer lobby. This option is available to you after business hours and on weekends and holidays. Your payment will be applied the next business day.
