Sex Offender Quarterly Registration

Those registered sex offenders that are required by statute to verify residential addresses on a quarterly basis can do so in any of the following ways:

  • By phone at 401-243-6301,
  • By email sent to the Sex Offender Registration email (sor@providenceri.gov) from an email address that was provided by the offender as part of his or her initial registration, or
  • In person at the Public Safety Complex at 325 Washington Street, Providence, RI daily (Monday – Friday) between the hours of 10:00 am and 11:00 am.

Regardless of the verification method used above, the offender must state the following:

  • his or her full name,
  • date of birth. and
  • that he or she still resides at the residential address last reported to the Providence Police Department and confirm said residential address.

Please note that if there is a change to said residential address, the offender shall notify the Providence Police Department pursuant to R.I. Gen. Law ยงยง11-37.1-9 and 11-37.1-3.
Quarterly address verification does not affect or impact the separate statutory obligation for homeless individuals to verify their presence in the community three (3) times per week..
