PROVIDENCE, RI – The City of Providence will convene its tax sale of unpaid tax liens on Thursday, May 10, 2018 at 10AM in the City Council Chamber in City Hall.
In a change from past practice, there will be no registration on the day of the tax sale. All bidders must register in advance for the tax sale. Bidder pre-registration will allow the tax sale to begin and proceed promptly and smoothly. Registration forms will be available in the Tax Collector’s Office or from the Collector’s webpage: providenceri.gov/collector, during the period of pre-registration, which will be held from April 16, 2018 through May 4, 2018.
Applications will be processed in the order received and all bidders seats will be assigned according to paddle number. Only original signature, notarized and complete applications will be accepted via mail, or in person at the Tax Collector’s Office in room 203 of City Hall (25 Dorrance Street).
