A citywide parking ban has been lifted in Providence as of 8:00 a.m. Sunday morning.
City crews worked through the night clearing snow and will continue with post-storm snow removal procedures throughout the day. Please help keep Providence as safe by shoveling sidewalks and walkways.
Property owners are required to remove snow and ice from sidewalks, catch basins, fire hydrants and pedestrian ramps adjacent to their property within 8 hours after snow stops falling. Residents are asked to take care not to shovel snow onto roadways after streets have been plowed. For fire safety purposes, residents are reminded not to rebury fire hydrants after they have been dug out.
Please check on neighbors if possible. If you see a person or a family in need, do what you can to lend a helping hand or notify the City.
Residents are encouraged to call the Mayor’s Center for City Services at 421-CITY with requests and inquiries.
