Insects in the Garden: Friend or Foe?

Pam Gilpin, self trained in the science of entomology and anestate gardener in the Newport area, will offer an informative photo essay anddiscussion about insects found in our gardens. Insects play an essential rolein our gardens as pollinators, predators, recyclers of decomposing animal andplant material, and as a source of food for birds, mammals and other insects.Learn how to create the right habitat so that you can have insects working foryou in your garden.
This workshop will take place in the Blockhouse Classroom. Please email BCInformation@providenceri.gov if you plan to attend, and simply inform the Welcome Center that you are attending the Rose Garden Pruning workshop when you arrive.
