The City of Providence is currently updating its Multi-Hazard Mitigation Plan and we hope you will join us in planning for future hazards that may impact the Providence community. As recent disasters in Texas, Florida, and Puerto Rico have demonstrated, planning and preparing for hazards is essential to protect lives and property during disasters. Three public workshops were held on July 25, 2018, November 16, 2018, and March 20, 2019 to engage the Providence community in the planning process and provide opportunities for public input. The slides presented at this public workshops may be found below, as well as the draft of the 2019 Multi-Hazard Mitigation Plan Update.
The Local Hazard Mitigation Committee is seeking public comments on the draft plan in order to incorporate the insights and suggestions of the Providence community. Please submit all comments to Craig Pereira at .
Public comments will be accepted until March 29, 2019 for inclusion in the Multi-Hazard Mitigation Plan update.
