Have you ever struggled to identify a skull you found in the woods? Come to the museum on March 17 at 11am and learn the major features that distinguish mammal skulls, with particular attention paid to ones most commonly found in our area. After a brief presentation we’ll head to the vaults to take a look examples of the skulls we have discussed, as well as the more exotic specimens from the museum collection, from bears and big cats to otters and skunks. Please note: our vaults are accessible by staircase only.
