New tax sale date to be announced at a later time

PROVIDENCE, RI – The City of Providence will reschedule its tax sale previously scheduled for Thursday, May 14, 2020, at 10 AM for a later date given the ongoing COVID-19 State of Emergency in Rhode Island.
In a change from past practice, the next tax sale will be moved online. Similar to previous years, there will be no registration on the day of the tax sale. All bidders must register in advance for the tax sale to proceed promptly and smoothly. Registration forms will be available on the Collector’s webpage: providenceri.gov/collector, during the period of pre-registration, which will be announced with the new tax sale information and advertised.
