Executive Order Reaffirms Providence as a Welcoming City and Codifies Providence Police’s Role in Public Safety
Mayor Brett P. Smiley today signed Executive Order 2025-2, “A Safe Providence for All,” reaffirming the City of Providence’s commitment to being safe and welcoming for all neighbors. The order prioritizes effective public safety strategies that protect our neighbors and underscores the City’s continued commitment to supporting all Providence community members, regardless of immigration status.
