North Burial Ground Master Plan
North Burial Ground is developing a Master Plan to guide the cemetery for both short-term improvements, and the long-term development and maintenance of NBG. The Parks Department has retained the services of Towers Golde, LLC. Landscape Architects https://www.towersgolde.com to develop the Master Plan with Parks Department and North Burial Ground leadership.
The Master Plan is just the first step in infrastructure improvements that will be funded by the City’s CIP funds. This $1.25 million dollar investment in North Burial Ground is an exciting step in recognizing how important North Burial Ground is as a cemetery, a historical site, and a community gathering place.
Phase 1 Survey Results
Towers Golde and the Parks Department recently hosted a public meeting to solicit comment from the NBG community about their dreams for North Burial Ground. Towers Golde presented their initial observations and the results of their historical and site specific research.
