Trash and recycling collection to operate on regular schedule

Providence, RI – Due to expected winter storm conditions, Providence Public Schools will open Thursday, February 28, 2019, with a 2-hour delay. Residents are advised that trash and recycling collection will operate on its regular schedule.
The morning session of the Sunrise Program at Robert F. Kennedy Elementary School is canceled. All morning (AM) pre-kindergarten classes will be canceled.
The Department of Public Works has prepared all equipment and personnel to respond to the storm. Roadways will be pretreated ahead of the snowfall. Crews will work throughout the night to clear roads.
