PROVIDENCE, RI – Providence Public Schools will be open tomorrow (10/31) except George J. West Elementary School, Vartan Gregorian Elementary School and Pleasant View Elementary School, which remain without power due to Sunday night’s storm.
The City of Providence will be opening both Neutaconkanut Recreation Center (675 Plainfield Street) and West End Recreation Center (109 Bucklin Street) at 8:30AM on 10/31 and will make breakfast and lunch available at those recreation center locations.
Residents experiencing power outages should contact National Grid at 800-322-3223 or report them on their website. Individuals are warned never to touch downed power lines and report downed lines to National Grid. In the event of an emergency, dial 911. Residents should know that power may not be restored for 1-2 days and are asked to plan accordingly.
To report a non-emergency issue, residents are encouraged to call the non-emergency line at 272-3121, download the PVD311 application on the Apple Store or Google Play or call 3-1-1 during business hours to reach the Mayor’s Center for City Service.
