Why: To heal is to restore to wholeness; to repair damage; and to set right. Healing a societal racial divide requires recognition of the need to acknowledge the wrongs of the past, while addressing the consequences of those wrongs.
What: Training will be provided on a limited basis to volunteer leaders to lead virtual Racial Healing Circles with Providence communities in the month of August. The training will be hosted by Brown University’s Center for Truth, Racial Healing and Transformation (TRHT). All trained leaders will receive a certification from the Association of American Colleges and Universities in Racial Healing. For more information on TRHT, please visit:
