MBE/WBE Vendors
The City of Providence’s Minority and Women-owned Business Enterprise (M/WBE) Program connects certified businesses with opportunities to sell their products and services to City of Providence departments.
Minority- and women-owned businesses interested in participating in the MBE/WBE program must be at least 51 percent owned and controlled by a minority or woman and be certified by the State’s Office of Diversity, Equity & Opportunity.

Vendors that comply with the City of Providence participation goals by subcontracting with certified MBE/WBE businesses are required to submit regular utilization reports documenting the use of these subcontractors. An example of a Subcontractor Utilization Form template is below, for your convenience. Prime contractors may submit any format to document their use of certified MBE/WBE firms, as long as it contains at a minimum the same information in this example.
