Ride the wave of summer family fun to the Museum of Natural History and Planetarium and dive into the wonders of the ocean state during our August shell-ebration. Discover how tides shape our shores, explore fascinating seashells and learn about seabirds like gulls and puffins. During August the Museum is open daily from 9:30am to 3:30pm, last admission at 3:00pm. Planetarium shows are daily at 1:00pm. Please note: Museum is closed on Monday, August 11.

Sky Views Planetarium Show on Monday through Friday at 1:00pm
Explore our night sky. Take a tour of the skies and discover the constellations, planets, nebulae and other stunning night sky objects that can be seen in the night sky. Video imagery will bring viewers up close to black holes, star-forming nebulae and more, showing discoveries in astrophysics while instilling a sense of wonder about our universe.
Journey to the Stars Planetarium Show on Saturday and Sunday at 1:00pm
Featuring images from telescopes on the ground and in space and stunning visualizations of physics-based simulations, this show launches visitors through space and time to experience the life and death of the stars in our night sky, including our own nurturing Sun. Tour familiar stellar formations, explore celestial mysteries and discover the fascinating, unfolding story that connects us all to the stars. Show produced by the American Museum of Natural History.

EVERYONE ATTENDING THE PLANETARIUM SHOW NEEDS A TICKET. Children must be age 4 and older to attend a planetarium show. Children age 15 and under must be accompanied by an adult. Please plan to arrive at least 15 minutes prior to the show start time to check-in for the planetarium show. FOR SAFETY REASONS, TICKETHOLDERS ARE NOT PERMITTED TO ENTER THE PLANETARIUM ONCE THE SHOW HAS BEGUN. Planetarium show is 30 minutes. Planetarium show tickets must be purchased ONLINE. Choose carefully and then confirm your selection, as all selections/sales are final.
