As of Saturday, May 9, all Providence public parks, greenspaces, off-road trails, and dog parks will be open to local public access only but parking will remain closed. All sports fields, courts and playgrounds will remain closed to public access. Please note: To mitigate the risk of the spread of COVID-19, the City of Providence has closed the Museum of Natural History and Planetarium until further notice. All programming is cancelled. Bird Walks (None scheduled at this time)
During our spring bird walks in Roger Williams Park, particular attention will be paid to migrating songbirds. We will search the canopy for warblers, tanagers and more. Please wear comfortable shoes and bring binoculars if you have them. All skill levels are welcome.
Program fee per session: $3 per person (includes museum admission)/free for museum members. Recommended for children age 5 and older. Pets are not permitted. Pre-registration preferred. Please call 401.680.7221 for more information.
Nature Family Walks (None scheduled at this time)
Learn how to identify seasonal wildflowers and common animals during our nature walks exploring Roger Williams Park. From milkweed to muskrats, you will gain a greater appreciation for the surprising diversity of urban wildlife. Please wear comfortable shoes and bring binoculars if you have them.
