Museum of Natural History: Open daily 10am – 4pm. Last admission at 3:30pm
Museum admission (does not include the Planetarium) is $2/ Museum Members Free/Free for children under age 4. Free museum admission first Saturday of the month for City of Providence residents. Museum closing at 1pm, last admission at 12:30pm on February 2, March 2, April 6 and May 4 for Drawing Wild. Museum opens at 12pm on Saturday, January 24 due to the Cub Scouts Space Exploration morning program. Learn more about Mission Space during February school vacation; February 14-20, 2026.
When visiting: The use of strollers is discouraged and strollers need to be carried/lifted to enter and exit the museum.
Journey to the Stars Planetarium Show: 2pm on Saturdays and Sundays
Our Place in Space Planetarium Show: 1pm and 2pm Saturday, February 14 through Friday, February 20 during Mission Space during February school vacation.
Audience: General (children must be age 4+)
Cost: $5 (includes Museum admission) | Museum Members: Free | Free first Saturday for Providence residents with proof of residency. Providence residents can reserve planetarium show tickets in person. Tickets are subject to availability at the time of reservation.
IMPORTANT PLANETARIUM SHOW GUIDELINES:
Tickets are recommended to be reserved online, including for Museum Members. Availability is limited. All sales are final.
Everyone attending the planetarium show needs a ticket.
Children must be age 4 or older; those 15 and under must be accompanied by an adult. Children must be supervised at all times.
Phones must be silenced, and attendees should remain quiet during the show to help everyone enjoy the full experience.
Please arrive at least 15 minutes early for check-in, as doors close at showtime and will not reopen—no late entry is permitted for visitor safety once the show begins.
PLEASE NOTE: For Museum Member reservations, you must be a CURRENT Museum Member, does not include RWP Zoo Members. If you are not a current Museum Member, all planetarium show tickets and admissions will be cancelled.
