Providence Parks
Ardoene Park
History
The success of Ardoene Park is due in part to the efforts of the Reservoir Triangle Association. Once a dumping site, this area was deeded to the city in 1959 and became an official park in 1960, hosting a baseball field since that time. Today it provides a connection through the neighborhood via two quiet dead–end streets. Walking a loop around the baseball field through both of the park entrances on Narragansett Ave measures one-quarter mile. Please be aware that large sections of this route are not paved.
