Grounds

Caring for Providence’s landscapes with skilled stewardship and sustainable practices.

About Grounds

Our Grounds team cares for the living landscape of Providence’s parks through mowing, leaf collection, blowing, planting, pruning, and seasonal maintenance while increasingly using sustainable practices that support healthier parks and a healthier environment. The team is also advancing practices such as low-mow areas, leaving leaves where appropriate to support soil and wildlife, and stormwater management strategies that reduce runoff, improve habitat, and build climate resilience across the park system.
