History

This park was restored by neighbors in partnership with the Parks Department in 2009. It features repurposed, reused and revitalized equipment and amenities to encourage free and open play, multi-generational use, and street fitness/parkour.

Offering extensive year-round programming for all ages, the park is conveniently adjacent to Hope High School grounds offering sports fields, tennis courts, and walking track. Before Hope High School was built in 1938, this lot was the site of the Hope Reservoir.

Recent Improvements

  • Fencing improvements and new tot lot play area, 2024.
  • Outdoor fitness and large play structure, 2021.
