History

Former mill pond that includes upper and lower Canada Dams built circa 1915 and likely once used for industrial purposes along the West River and the Moshassuck River. Deeded to the city in 1955, 1995, additional lots 2003.

The location is difficult to access as it is off a busy road with no parking. Enter the site on Branch Ave, just north of the Sunoco Station near the 146 North on ramp, where Parks Department signage is posted.
