Providence Parks
Miguel Luna Park
History
This park is dedicated to the beloved City Councilman Miguel Luna for his service to the community. Councilman Luna was an extraordinary humanitarian and humble public servant who identified with those most in need and dedicated his life to promoting workers’ rights and economic justice. Luna Park was deeded to the City in 1952. Along with nearby Amos Earley Park, it has long contributed open greenspace to the Elmwood neighborhood. Following renovations completed in 2026, there is a one-tenth of a mile loop of paved walking path through the park.
