Providence Parks
Pearl Street Park
History
The park’s grassy field with young tree plantings was formerly a tennis court, which explains the retaining wall with tall fencing along the back corner of the park, then a tricycle track. New play equipment installed in 2026 is appropriate for ages 2-12.
Recent Improvements
- New play structure and seating area installed May 2026
- The fire truck-themed play equipment was removed in March 2026 to make way for a new play structure.
- Playground was resurfaced in 2025, replacing worn rubber surfacing with engineered wood fiber mulch.
- Renovated in 2018 with additional playground equipment for ages 2-12, picnic tables and grassy area for open play.
